OF PINE NUTS - PROPERTIES PINE NUTS
CHINESE KERNELS: Called "Keg Type" because of
their shape. They are smaller than our kernels and their
flavour is not as good as ours.
UNTIMELY PROCESSED KERNELS: This type
of kernels are got from the pine cones by an artificial
way. The pines cones are boiled in water just after they
have been harvested, when the kernels are still undone.
This is the reason for they have a white colour and a
little piece of skin at the tops. Moreover, the flavour
of theses kernels is not as good as the sun processing
kernels as we will say below. In addition, the
germination is not possible with this kernels, so the
plantantion is not possible with them.
KERNELS: This is the natural way to process this item. The pine cones are
harvested from December to April. Afterwards, the pine cones keep onto big heaps
awaiting for the summer sun to hit them to be opened.
